The University of Oregon's new Lillis Business School slashes power bills, sets new standards in sustainability and will serve as a case study in sustainability. This high-performance building makes the most of natural resources by harnessing prevailing breezes for cooling and the sun for heat, light and electricity. The building is designed to be fifty percent more energy-efficient than state code requires. As sustainability and energy-efficiency consultant to the design architects, SOLARC was instrumental in incorporating photovoltaic panels, exceptional daylighting, natural ventilation, natural cooling, building commissioning, and salvage and re-use of building demolition products.
