This state-of-the-art building provides a total of 12,000 square feet of space for a new community library, public meeting space, arts and crafts rooms, art gallery, and county offices. The building design incorporates many innovative energy efficiency design strategies, such as an Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) shell, radiant floor heating and cooling, ground-source heat pumping systems, air-to-air heat recovery, and night-flush building pre-cooling. An integrated building automation system forms the basis for DDC control of all building HVAC systems. Solarc provided engineering services for mechanical, electrical, controls, and civil/site elements of the project.
