Willamalane Parks and Recreation District teamed with Broadbase Programs to construct a 22,000 square foot Community Center with administrative offices and an early childhood center on the south side of the Regional Sports Center. The building replaced Willamalane’s Memorial Building Community Center and the Mill Street Administrative Center, combining them under one roof. The project was completed on time and under budget. The building features 25 skylights and 21 exterior windows providing a daylit interior. Energy efficient lighting automatically dims as outside ambient light increases. Sunshades are provided to limit solar gain. The building is designed to house approximately 50 staff members. The kitchen employs a modern ventless range and oven system. Community rooms have state of the art sound systems with assisted listening capability. Advanced telephone and data systems use fiber optics and Voice Over IP. The preschool playground is directly accessible from the preschool rooms. |
